A republican conference dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the formation of Kazakhstan's maslikhats was held in Nur-Sultan.
The event was attended by deputies of all levels, representatives of the Presidential Administration and members of the Government.
The conference was opened by the Chairman of the Senate of the Parliament, Dariga Nazarbayeva, who urged colleagues to take concrete steps to develop local authorities as a real mechanism for citizen participation in the process of state decision-making and control over their implementation.
