On October 25-26 The Global Conference on Primary Health Care entitled “From Almaty to Universal Health Coverage and Sustainable Development Goals” was held in Astana in the Palace of Independence on the occasion of the 40th anniversary of the Alma-Ata Declaration. The Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan, B. Sagintayev, took part in the opening ceremony of the conference and in the high-level session.
Representatives of 140 WHO Member States, international organizations and the world academic elite gathered in Astana. In total – about 1500 participants. The event was organized by the Government of Kazakhstan, the World Health Organization and UNICEF.
