Delegates from 80 countries took part in the UNWTO Global Summit.
The official opening ceremony of the 8th UNWTO Global Summit on urban tourism "Smart cities, smart destinations" was held in the Palace of Independence on 9-12 October. It was attended by 1400 delegates, including 15 mayors of major cities of the world.
The opening ceremony of the summit was attended by the leadership of the government of Kazakhstan and akimat of Nur-Sultan, Secretary General of UNWTO Zurab Pololikashvili.
Among the delegates of the event 400 participants from 80 countries. The guests of the summit were well-known foreign entrepreneurs, architects, journalists and representatives of state and tourist organizations.
The Summit program Includes "Smart cities and tourism" with the adoption of the relevant Declaration, Panel discussions on smart destinations.
